Until we find our rhythm

I started this painting when life felt like a beautiful, overwhelming mess, much like bringing a new baby home.

The canvas began with a rush of blues, like the quiet, deep breaths you take in the middle of a sleepless night, and strokes of fiery orange, representing those unexpected bursts of joy and exhaustion intertwined. There are moments of soft pinks too, the colour of a shared, tired smile and the promise of a new morning.

It’s all intertwined, a tangled dance that eventually begins to settle into its own kind of understanding and rhythm.
